How much will 2020 Chevy Silverado cost

For 2020, Chevrolet is introducing the Silverado with several new features, including the new 10-speed automatic transmission in combination with the 5.3-liter V8 - standard on the LT Trail Boss and optional on the High Country, the legendary 6.2L V. -8 is now offered on Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, and RST trims; and technologies, including new trailer features and adaptive cruise control with a camera.

For 2020, more than half of the equipment variants of the Silverado will be available with the 6.2L V-8 with SAE-certified 420 hp and 625 Nm torque as well as a 10-speed automatic transmission.

For the Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss, this performance comes with a 2-inch chassis lift kit and the Z71 off-road package with limited-slip differential, underrun protection, Rancho monotube off-road shock absorbers, 18-inch wheels and Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires. The Custom Trail Boss with the 6.2-liter V-8 starts at $ 43,865.

Also new for 2020 is the 6.2L V-8 for Silverado RST models with all-wheel drive. As a result, the maximum trailer load of the Silverado increases to over six tons.
For those who want even more power, the Silverado 6.2L is available with a performance upgrade package that includes modified air intake and a cat-back exhaust system that increase power to 435 hp and torque of 635 Nm.

Further drive changes

For 2020, Silverado will be available with a brand new 3.0 liter Duramax turbo diesel engine for LT, RST, LTZ and High Country models. The diesel engine comes with an SAE-certified output of 277 hp and a torque of 625 Nm at just 1,250 rpm.

Chevy's proven 5.3 liter V8 is now available with the 10-speed automatic transmission for certain Silverado models. This new motor-gearbox combination is standard on the LT Trail Boss and optionally available on the High Country. Coupling the 5.3L V-8 with the 10-speed automatic provides a satisfactory driving experience. Tighter gear ratios and an overall greater spread of the gear ratio enable better efficiency and a smarter, smoother shift pattern.

The 2020 Silverado Custom will be available now with Chevy's 2.7-liter turbo and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

New trailer technology, adaptive cruise control camera

The Silverado will be available from 2020 with the advanced towing technologies previously introduced for the brand new Silverado HD from 2020.

As a result, both Silverado and Silverado HD are available with 15 unique camera images that make driving with trailers more convenient, regardless of whether a motor home or a large load trailer is being pulled. This includes the segment-exclusive transparent trailer function, in which the camera mounted on the tailgate and an additional camera available that is mounted on the rear of the trailer are used. The resulting display helps the drivers to see through the trailer virtually in order to help navigate parking lots, to integrate into the traffic and to drive tight curves.

Also new for 2020 is the Silverado with Smart Trailer technology, with which selected functions of the iN-Command control system from ASA can be accessed via the mobile myChevrolet app on compatible Android and iOS smartphones or via the in-vehicle trailering app Electronics can be accessed via the vehicle's infotainment system via Apple CarPla6 or Android Auto compatibility.

Finally, the Silverado with Adaptive Cruise Control - Camera is available for 2020. The system has a single high-mounted camera behind the rearview mirror that scans the road, keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front. The system can bring the Silverado to a complete standstill and is integrated into the stop / start function of the motors in order to optimize efficiency. Adaptive Cruise Control camera is available for Silverado LT, LTZ and High Country.
