Can I apply egg to oiled hair
Do you want to treat dry and brittle hair naturally? Try coconut oil. Pure or with other natural ingredients, there are various ways to easily make your coconut oil hair treatment yourself! We introduce you to six great recipes.
Coconut oil - natural strength for your hair
Coconut oil is good for the hair: this has been shown by various studies, such as a study by Indian scientists on the treatment of hair damage with coconut oil. Above all, it is said to revitalize dry, flaky and dull hair and reduce hair loss. Because: cold-pressed organic coconut oil is one of the most valuable coconut products and has many valuable, nourishing fatty acids, as well as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that help to strengthen hair and scalp again.
Coconut oil can especially repair dry, brittle and thick hair. If you have fine or oily hair, you shouldn't apply too much of it. A little oil is enough here.
6 do-it-yourself coconut oil hair treatments
A coconut oil hair treatment is easy to make yourself. We have selected six different recipes, there is sure to be something for you.
1. Pure coconut oil
The pure coconut oil is actually the ideal hair treatment. It strengthens the hair structure and gives your hair back what it needs.
It's pretty practical that you don't have to touch anything for this cure. You simply heat a hazelnut-sized amount of the coconut oil in the palm of your hand or in the microwave and massage it into your hair. With longer hair, of course, you'll have to use a little more.
Then you should let it work for at least half an hour and then rinse well with shampoo.
2. Nourishing chamomile and banana
Here we introduce you to a hair treatment that gives hair back its shine and structure.
With 4 tablespoons of chamomile tea, half a banana and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, all the ingredients are quickly obtained and mixed together. In order not to find any pieces in your hair, you should puree the banana. Then it is best to leave it on overnight and wash off the next morning.
3. Concentrated power with olive oil
When you look at the range of hair products, it quickly becomes clear that many manufacturers swear by the nourishing power of olive oil. No wonder, because the oil should provide an extra portion of moisture and thus be suitable for very dry hair.
If you have 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil at home, you can easily put together a nourishing coconut-olive oil regimen. To do this, melt the coconut oil and mix it with the olive oil. Then apply to the hair, wrap in a towel and let it soak in for at least 30 minutes and rinse with shampoo.
4. Protein boost with egg
Split ends and dry hair are often caused by a protein deficit. To compensate for this, egg yolk is the ideal addition to a hair treatment.
With 2 yolks, 3-4 tablespoons of melted (not too hot) coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of almond oil, Sabine presents a rich coconut hair treatment on her blog Miss Fancy. Egg yolks and honey are mixed together, the almond oil added and then the melted (no longer too hot) coconut oil is stirred in. If you want, you can add essential oil.
The cure should then be worked into the washed, damp hair as freshly as possible. Wrap it in cling film and a towel for at least 30 minutes, but preferably all night, let it steep and then rinse with shampoo.
5. Moisturizing aloe vera
Aloe Vera is said to have a particularly moisturizing property. The Indian vlogger Prachi uses this and combines it on her YouTube channel superWOWstyle! fresh aloe vera with coconut oil, castor oil and vitamin E.
First, she applies the juice of an aloe vera leaf to the hair. Then she mixes 1 teaspoon of castor oil with 1.5-2 teaspoons of coconut oil in a small bowl and empties the liquid contents of two vitamin E capsules. The small bowl is placed in a hot water bath in a larger bowl for five minutes. Then the mixture is massaged into the hair for several minutes. Leave on overnight and simply wash off the next day.
The combination should not only provide a lot of moisture, but also let the hair grow faster. Try it yourself. You can see how it works in Prachi's video.
6. Shine and volume
Before Bad Hair Day becomes permanent, you can treat your hair in need of care to a regenerating hair treatment. Dry hair is supplied with moisture and shines beautifully again.
Split and dry hair is often the result of a protein deficit. To compensate for this, egg yolk is the ideal addition to a hair treatment. This cure is also suitable for fine hair as it does not collapse.
With 2 teaspoons of coconut oil, 1 egg, 2 teaspoons of olive oil and teaspoons of honey, Malika presents a care mask on Paleo360. The coconut oil is carefully melted in a water bath. Now the olive oil, egg yolk and honey are mixed together.
Apply the conditioner immediately, strand by strand, to damp hair. It's not that easy, but it's really worth it. So that the nutrients are absorbed as well as possible, wrap the hair with cling film. After 15 minutes, wash out the treatment with a mild shampoo.
So that the coconut oil hair treatment can fully develop its effect, we have a few application tips for you.
How to apply
Put a towel over your shoulder as you apply it to avoid risking oil stains on your clothes. If the treatment is very liquid, it is easier to apply it with a brush or cotton ball. Otherwise you can just take your hand.
In itself, you should massage the treatment from the hairline down to the length of the hair. But if you have fine or slightly oily hair, the coconut oil on the hairline can weigh down your hair unnecessarily and make it lank. Rather, spread the hair mask generously over the lengths of the hair.
How long do you leave it on?
Depending on how much time you have, you can vary the exposure time. At least half an hour is best, but you can also leave it on all night. Wrap a towel or shower cap around your hair or you will have oily stains on the bedding. In addition, the effect is intensified.
How to rinse
Oil and water aren't best friends. It's best to shampoo your hair before it comes into contact with water for the first time. After that, coconut oil and Co. should wash out particularly well. Make sure to rinse your hair very thoroughly to remove any oily residue. Tip: Finally, let some hot water run into the drain, then no oil lumps will form.
How often to use
As with any other treatment, it is advisable to use the hair mask around once or twice a week.
