Connect to your old home directory

Your old home directory is on the server colossus.mi.ecs.hs-osabrueck.de. You can back up your data until the end of 2020, after which the server will be switched off. To access your files from outside the university, you have to connect to the university via VPN. You can find detailed instructions here:

Connection to the colossus server via MAC OSX

To do this, open the Finder and select the item from the menu Go To - Connect to Server ... out.

Enter the server address:
smb: //colossus.mi.ecs.hs-osnabrueck.de

Then enter your OSCA access data. You have to enter the domain intra.edvsz with the user name. Example: [email protected]

You can find your home directory in the Finder under Network. If the item Network is missing, you can activate it in the Finder under the menu item Settings under Sidebar.

 

Connection to the colossus server via Windows

Open the Explorer and click on the Network entry with the right mouse button and select Connect network drive.

Enter the following path in the input field:
\ colossus.mi.ecs.hs-osnabrueck.de \your username

Activate the checkbox "Connect with different credentials"And press the button"Complete“.

You will now be asked to enter your user data.
