Does Malwarebytes have a firewall

Windows Firewall Control 6.1.0.0 with improvements and important bug fixes

Malwarebytes (formerly Binisoft) has updated the Windows Firewall Control software to version 6.1.0.0. Windows Firewall Control is an attachment for the Windows own firewall and offers more options for special settings than the Windows firewall itself.

Since Malwarebytes took over Binisoft in May 2018, the WFC has now been made available as freeware. In the new version 6.1.0.0, some bugs have been corrected and something new has also been added. A keyboard shortcut has been added for the notification dialog and a context menu entry for “Select all.

  • Fixed: Due to the latest SSL connections on the hosting server, the check for a new version no longer works.
  • During the installation / update, the previous page is displayed instead of the progress bar after the UAC prompt for 1-2 seconds.
  • The uninstaller will not work if the WFC service cannot be initialized.
  • In some rare cases, the uninstaller can hang during the uninstallation.
  • Sorting according to the 'Time generated' column in the connection log does not work.
